Done…

One week of decision, indecision and associated mental stress…
Moments of courage to leave the offer and to say…”Let’s call it quits…”
Periods of determination to prepare for unexpected interview opportunity…
Days of awakening of mind…enrichment of my soul…
I have become more capable of treating events independant of each other…that’s biggest take away for me…and I feel like a much improved human being…

I have accepted the offer that I originally got. Things were clarified from other end and it was convincing…As expected, there was some communication gap…Anyway, I am happy with the offer that I have in hand. Comprises of decent role, good pay package, decent career growth and high visibility in the organization…

I had my last interview experience yesterday….with that, I officially hang up my suit! I am out of placement process now…Around 40 odd people remain, who are still searching for their matching jobs…I fear that they might not get their kind of jobs if they search through ISB. They need to go out on their own….I am sure they will….and I am sure they will find their jobs…It’s just a matter of time!

Will ISG give him tat oppurtunity? He is not at all interested in consulting/finance/marketing so this is the only factor tat will influence his decision. Also where can he find out the details of the firms tat came fr placements from sys?

  9. There was one thing that Rajat Gupta said at our convocation which i will never forget and has always kept me in good stead ” Not everyone gets the Mc Kinseys, Goldman Sachs type jobs - whats important is that if one has a learning midset and willingness to learn and improve, no one can stop him”… I did not understand this 3 years ago, but believe me i understand every word now… I got a job on campus which was probably one of (if not The) the lowest paying, but let me put it this way i currently drive a Porshe Carrera… U have the midset my friend, i see you going places ! All the best to you, u rock, always will !!!

  15. bharani

    congrats on the acceptance.

on a different note, dont see a reason why these 40 people wont get placed on campus itself. as you wud have seen 3 people got placed with ABN this morning. these are with pvt banking and very good roles. there are a few more companies lined up. unless someone is extremely choosy about the role he/she wants to get into, there is no reason why he/she wont get placed on campus. am told that some 15 offers are in pipeline, which means that only about 22 or so are still in the waiting mode.

    all the best………
