“Are you a student? A Professional? Do you have a question? We can help you to get your query answered…” this is the mission of a newly formed venture called ResolveQuery.com.

This website is started by 3 young engineers from different backgrounds united by a common goal - to provide a one stop solution in career counselling to students and professionals. In the recently concluded TiE-ISB Elevator Pitch, conducted at ISB, this venture made it to the final round. Within 3 months time this website has taken a solid shape and almost available for public service. Explore it yourself.

  1. Interesting concept ! And saw ur name in the expert panel too ! :) .Liked it.!
Had a few questions ..How different is this from a career counselling service? Is everything done via email, internet ..face to face interaction? The ISB-Yahoo group forum interaction just goes to prove the number of questions people have.!I So such a website should be helpful to a lot of folks! And BTW, was happy to see a few seniors of mine (B.E) in the Management and Expert Panel :)

  4. Bharani, what kind of target is this service aimed at. College goers or school goers or people working in jobs & seeking advice? How do you build credibility?

  5. Thanks Bharani for the blog about our site !! Really nice of you.

    Indian Blogger,
This is different from career counseling service in the following manner:
1.The councelors or the experts on our panel have traversed a good distance in the particular domain. Our experts would be better equipped (in terms of experience in a particular domain )than a traditional career counselor.
2.Flexibility to search and choose ur own expert as per ur requirement(s). Do check out our search for experts link.

Currently it will be done via internet. We do have plans of conducting live sessions or workshops in different cities.

    Amit,
We are looking at a wide range of target audience at our site. We have different categories of experts on our panel. Undergraduate students and graduate students who may provide useful info to students of 8 to 12. For long term goals these young students of 8 to 12 may interact with experienced experts on our panel. Similarly we have experts with upto 5 years work exp bracket and 5+ years work exp. bracket. Depending on their needs young professionals, say with 0 to 3 years work exp, could pose questions to more experienced experts of RQ.

  6. How different is your venture compared to Google Answers or the failed venture of Sabeer Bhatia.

    Comment by Vinay — October 29, 2005, Saturday @ 10:31 pm

  7. Ours is a free service whereas in google answers one needs to pay as per the urgency and importance of the question …. More importantly we have made our experts profile transparent to the users !! they can select the experts that they want to ask question to
